JCB would like to offer the information to help you respond in the event your security is compromised.

Has Your Online Security Been Compromised?

In the event that you find malware (malicious software, eg. Virus, Worm, Trojan) on your computer, consider the following.

If your checking account, debit card or credit card account information was used to shop online, it would be best practice to close the account and open a new account.

If yes, it would be best practice to go to a "clean" computer and change the password. Alternatively, to protect the account, go to the login page of each banking site and enter an incorrect password until the account is locked. This will ensure that no unauthorized access is gained to the account until you can make contact with appropriate support personnel.

If the internet connection is constant, it can be disconnected from the computer to ensure no communication happens between the malware and the source.
