Marvin S. Veatch, President and CEO of JCB, recently announced the hiring of Andy Applewhite to fill the newly created SVP, Chief Mortgage and Consumer Lending Officer role.
Applewhite, a native of Seymour, Indiana, has more than 33 years of banking experience, most recently serving as SVP, Director of Mortgage Sales at First Financial Bank. “Andy brings his vast experience and knowledge of the mortgage and consumer lending industry to JCB. His role will complement JCB’s current lending team and position JCB for future growth,” Veatch said. Applewhite will lead JCB’s efforts to improve performance and create additional efficiencies through team building, critical thinking and planning.
Andy holds a B.S. in Accounting from Indiana University’s Kelly School of Business. Active within various professional affiliations, Andy has served as a board member for Indiana Mortgage Bankers, Freddie Mac Regional Lender Advisory Board, and America’s Community Bankers Lending and Technology Committee member to name a few.
“I am very grateful to have this opportunity to partner with the team at JCB to serve the housing and other lending needs of our southern Indiana communities. JCB is a well-known and respected financial institution and I look forward to the opportunities we will have in the future,” said Applewhite.
