JCB Vice President of Retail Lending Mark Maloney has announced the hiring of Bret Kroger as Retail Real Estate Lending Officer in Bartholomew County. “I am excited about working with Bret,” Maloney said. “He is an experienced mortgage professional who knows his industry, his community, and his clients.”
Bret has four years of banking experience as a mortgage originator and is a lifetime resident of Columbus. “JCB’s personalized approach to mortgage lending is a perfect fit for me. I’m excited to join JCB and become part of a banking family dedicated to fulfilling customers’ dreams while giving back to local and surrounding communities,” he said.
Bret is currently an affiliate member of the Crossroads Association of Realtors, a board member of Choppers for Coppers benefit ride, and involved with the Hope Ride. He has previously served as a member of the Hope Heritage Days Board of Directors, advisory board member for Circle C 4-H Horse and Pony, and a volunteer with A First Christmas at The Ridge. Bret also worked for The Republic newspaper for 14 years, including serving as Advertising Director.
Bret has a son who will graduate from Purdue University this year and a daughter attending Ivy Tech Community College. He owns and shows quarter horses and enjoys camping, boating, and spending time with family and friends.
