James T. McCoy, Chairman of the Board of JCB, announced Marvin S. Veatch as its President / CEO. Veatch assumed the President / CEO role following the retirement of David M. Geis on April 28, 2017, after his nearly 41 years of service to JCB. Veatch, who is only the ninth individual serving as the JCB’s President / CEO in its 117-year history, brings 28 years of banking, financial and accounting experience to this role, with 15 of those years with JCB. Veatch has been instrumental in the bank’s leadership as its Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and more recently in his role as Senior Vice President, Chief Operating Officer. Board Chairman McCoy stated, “Given Marvin’s past experience and knowledge of banking, the future of JCB is strong and the JCB board of directors is confident in Marvin’s ability to lead the organization.”
Veatch is a graduate of Anderson University and resides in Seymour with his wife Beth and their daughter. Veatch is heavily engaged in community initiatives, currently serving as Treasurer of Jackson County Industrial Development Corporation, Board Chairman of The Greater Seymour Chamber of Commerce, and board member of the Community Foundation of Jackson County. Other past and present service roles include service to Jackson County United Way, Seymour Boys and Girls Club, Seymour Rotary Club, Indiana Bankers Association, and Schneck Medical Foundation.
Veatch said, “I am deeply humbled for this opportunity to lead JCB and truly excited about the future. We have a talented and dedicated team that looks forward to serving our customers who have put their trust in JCB.”
