Online and Mobile Banking login security upgrades...
The protection of your personal information is very important to us, and we have started enabling new security features for our online and mobile banking platforms. These security features will help ensure that your JCBank accounts are protected from scammers, fraudulent access, and other cyber threats.
Effectively immediately, after entering your online or mobile banking credentials, you will receive an email with a one-time passcode and will be required to enter that code to complete the login process. This procedure will be required each time you log in and will remain in place until February 17.
Beginning February 17, the first time you log in to online or mobile banking using the emailed passcode method, you will be required to provide a phone number capable of receiving future one-time passcodes via phone call or text message. This process must be completed for both online and mobile banking platforms separately. After this initial setup, passcodes will no longer be delivered via email.
As part of these security enhancements, any attempts to log in to your accounts from an unknown device, new location, different web browser, etc., will prompt the system to send a one-time passcode via your choice of a phone call or text message.
If you have any questions regarding these changes or need to set up additional phone numbers to receive one-time passcodes, please contact us at 800-204-6477.
And remember...
If you receive a call, text, or email from someone claiming to be JCBank and asking for your username and password, report it as spam and call us at 800-204-6477.
