President and CEO Marvin S. Veatch announced a series of promotions to the Senior Vice President level, effective August 1, 2018. Veatch said, "I am happy to announce the expansion of JCB's Senior Leadership team. Growing our leadership team will allow us to advance and position the bank for future growth and success. I am excited about this new senior leadership structure and have confidence in their individual and collective abilities to lead JCB into the future."
Jeff Nolting, who most recently served as JCB’s Senior Vice President, Chief Lending Officer, has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Chief Banking Officer. In his new role, Mr. Nolting will retain his current duties and will add oversight of the Sales/Service Delivery – Branch Administration area of the bank, including responsibilities for the retail banking centers and marketing activities. Nolting began his JCB career in 2013 as Assistant Vice President, Commercial Banker, and in 2014 transitioned to Vice President, Retail Loan Officer, before being named Senior Vice President, Chief Lending Officer in 2016. Nolting brings more than 15 years of banking knowledge and draws on extensive sales management, marketing and business development experience. He currently serves as Chair of the Seymour Main Street Economic Restructuring Committee and also serves as a board member of the Greater Columbus Indiana Economic Development Committee. Nolting is also past president and current secretary of Seymour Rotary Club.
George Spray has been elevated to Senior Vice President, Chief Wealth Management Officer and will continue to lead all wealth management activities of the bank. Spray started his JCB career in 1998 as a Trust Officer and was promoted to Assistant Vice President in 2000, then to Vice President, Investment Management and Trust Services in 2005. Prior to his employment with JCB, he was in management with Prairie Farms Dairy (formerly Thompson Dairy Co.) and was a financial services representative with Northwestern Mutual Life and Lutheran Brotherhood. He has served on the board of directors of Anchor House Family Assistance Center and Food Pantry, including acting as president for two years. Mr. Spray is also a member of the board of directors and Treasurer of the Community Agency Building Corporation since 2005.
Gary Green has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Chief Information Systems Officer. Mr. Green will retain his current duties as head of the bank’s Information Systems function and will assume oversight of the Deposit Services area of the bank. Green has served in various bank-related capacities throughout his career, including responsibilities involving data processing, operations and technology. He started his JCB career in 2003 as Information Systems Manager and in 2005 was promoted to Vice President, Information Systems. Green serves on the boards of directors for Boys & Girls Club of Seymour and Schneck Foundation, where he also serves on the Business Relations Committee.
Melodie Yarnell will advance from Vice President, Risk, Compliance & Security to Senior Vice President, Chief Risk & Management Services Officer. In addition to continued oversight of enterprise risk management, compliance and security at JCB, Yarnell will oversee human resources, training, and property management. Yarnell, who has more than 20 years of banking experience, joined JCB in 2012 and was promoted to Vice President in 2014. She currently serves on the boards of United Way of Jackson County, Habitat for Humanity of Johnson County, and Indiana Bankers Association Future Leadership Division.
